Biohazard Remediation

Biological hazards - Bacteria, Viruses, parasites and more could be hidden in bodily fluids.

Gram-Negative Bacteria

Gram-negative bacteria are a potential hazard due to the exotoxins and endotoxins in their biological makeup. Exotoxins are proteins within the bacteria cell which are discharged into the environment. Endotoxins are also proteins found within the cell walls of the gram-negative bacteria and can be hazardous if inhaled or ingested. Some gram-negative bacteria include E.coli, Pseudomonas, Shigella, Salmonella, and Legionella (Legionnaires Disease which causes life-threatening or fatal results).

Viruses - Blood Borne Pathogens

Viruses insert their genetic material into other living host cells which reprograms the cells causing them to burst into "virus factories". Common viruses we face are the Rotavirus, Hanta virus, Ebola virus, Norovirus, Hepatitus A, Hepatitus E, Chicken Pox, and the common flu. Some blood borne pathogens include Hepatitus B, Hepatitus C, HIV and AIDS.

Parasites

Parasites can be extremely dangerous or fatal if exposed to small children, elderly, or immune-compromised. Some common parasites/protozoa include Giardia, Cryptosporidium, round worms, and tape worms.

Crime Scene and Trauma Cleanup

Trauma scene cleanup (also referred to as crime scene cleanup) is the general term applied to the cleaning of blood, human remains, or anything bio hazardous following incidents that result in contamination of the environment from blood, body fluid spills, human tissue, and bone fragments. Gram-negative bacteria, viruses, and parasites can all be present in these types of situations.
